So I won a thing. Pretty great having an employer that celebrates achievements, thanks @UCNZ and @ForestryScience. #behumble? https://t.co/YCffgDB4Yy

Pleased to add this research to the #GIS, #earthobservation, #forestry knowledge base. This is the second such survey, 5 years apart and things have really changed. #LiDAR data is now used regularly by 70% of #NZ forestry companies! That's up from only 17% in 2013. #openaccess https://t.co/FXZfMCYJxp

Published a short general interest article on #iTree and #ecosystemservices in Tree Matters, the journal for NZ Arb Association. Great contributions from my city forester colleagues Toby Chapman, Will Melville, and Howell Davies. https://t.co/Eed9OttmGM

@zentree The RMA was a 'strategic view' and it's failing urban trees in a big way, which means it's failing NZ's urban folk in a big way. Strategic views are fine...even good, but it's the daily decisions we make at the tree scale that affect tree presence/absence, cover and benefits

Lots of talk around important grey infrastructural issues like housing, transport, and parking... But how about a nod to green infrastructure? Trees and open spaces are critical for liveable cities.

Great to have supported Sarah on her way to publishing her first scientific paper! Congrats! https://t.co/FXZfMCYJxp

This is such an important discussion to have. If we value urban trees, why don't we have policy or laws to protect them? The RMA is wholely inadequate for this purpose and district plans fall short too. Time to rethink urban tree protection for the 87% of kiwis living in cities. https://t.co/OqJsfohPqT

I'm sure some people have bigger problems today, but I just found 13 seeds in 1 mandarin! What gives?
